Milton Leeroy Ballard

Milton LeeRoy Ballard, 83, of Vidor, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, in Yampa, Colorado. Born and raised in Woodville, Texas, he was a beloved and long-time resident of Vidor. Milton proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and later retired from Gulf States Utilities. In his free time, he enjoyed woodworking and bowling, pursuing his hobbies with passion and skill.

Milton was not only a dedicated husband to his late wife LaNell Ballard but also a loving father. He served as a real role model for both of his children, Karen McRight and Mark Ballard. His commitment to his family and his exemplary character made him a source of inspiration to those around him.

Visitation for Milton will begin at 6:00 pm on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral services to honor his life will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 28, 2023, also at Memorial Funeral Home, followed by burial at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor.

Milton was preceded in death by his wife LaNell Ballard, his brother Cliff Ballard, and his sisters Catherine Pharis and Gertrude Philp. He is survived by his children, Karen McRight and Mark Ballard, his sister Margaret, eight grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren.
