Monroe Edwin Williams 1927-2007 The first grandchild of James Monroe Houston 1869-1946 and Celona Hardee Houston1880-1966, the first child of Emily Esther Houston 1905-2001 and William Edward Williams 1904-1969, husband of Rosalind Murff Frazier Williams, father to James Vernon Frazier and Bobby Wayne Frazier, father of Dale Monroe Williams, Linda Ann Williams 1957-1976 and Daniel Clark Williams - U.S. Veteran, Monroe Edwin Williams “Eddie” died true to his name on December 9, 2007, - in service to his family. Eddie was born in Houston, TX on May 26, 1927. He spent most of his formative years growing up in Allen Parrish, La. After finishing high school in Kinder, La, he joined the U.S. Army and served in Korea. Eddie had a long and successful career with United Texas Transmission Co. of Beaumont, from which he retired in 1986. Eddie is survived by wife Rosalind, his sons and daughters-in-law Arlene Frazier and Debra Williams, brothers Joseph Reginald Williams and Roger Clark Williams, sister Nelva Jean Nassar Jackson, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. All who knew him have been and will continue to be enriched by his life. He will be missed. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M. at Blackjack Cemetery in Allen Parrish, La. Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at the funeral home.
