Nora Lisa Bolinger

Nora Lisa Bolinger, of Vidor, Texas passed away on Tuesday, September 11th, 2023, at the age of 58 after a hard-fought battle with breast cancer. Nora was born in Jasper County, Texas on March 27th 1965 to Ocie D. Williams and Nancy Louise Jones. Nora was a longtime resident of Vidor, Texas where she was an active and dedicated community member, who touched the lives of many. Nora was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as a cherished and reliable friend. Nora worked for Vidor ISD for nearly 20 years and was known for her involvement in supporting many of the community's sporting events. She had a love for music and played the piano for nearly two decades in Northway Church before moving to Vidor. She was a devout christian and member of Turning Point church. Nora was known for her infectious and charming personality, as well as her ability to light up any room she stepped in. The light she emitted was inextinguishable, and the love and concern she had for family, friends, coworkers, and even strangers was palpable. Nora is survived by her husband of 39 years: Rex E. Bolinger; her three loving children: Bethany Bolinger, David Bolinger, and Michael Bolinger and his wife Rebecca Bolinger; her four grandchildren: Khloe Bolinger, Stella Bolinger, Brooklynn Bolinger and Kaiya Glynn; and her biological mother: Magnus Bean. Her family was a source of immense pride, and she cherished every moment she had with them. Nora was preceded in death by her adoptive parents Ocie Williams and Nancy Jones, and her K-9 companion Dolly. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 14, 2023 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Funeral service will be 10:00 AM, Friday, Septmeber 15, 2023 at Turning point Church.
