Norris Larent Constance, a respected and beloved figure in his community, passed away on Wednesday, February 21st, 2024, at his home in Vidor, Texas, at the age of 91. Born in Big Lake, Louisiana, Norris was a proud longtime resident of Vidor, where he made countless memories and formed enduring relationships. Throughout his life, Norris was known for his dedication to his work, retiring as an Operations Supervisor for PPG Industries, where he left a lasting impact through his hard work and commitment. Beyond his professional life, Norris was an avid outdoorsman, finding peace and joy in duck hunting and fishing. His love for gardening allowed him to spend hours tending to his plants, enjoying the tranquility of nature, and sharing the fruits of his labor with friends and family. Norris serviced his country in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. He also had a passion for traveling, exploring new places, and experiencing different cultures, which brought him great joy throughout his retirement years. Norris's legacy is carried on by his loving family, including his children, Ricky Constance and wife Donna, Dale Constance and wife Lucy, and Tangi Constance and wife LaDonna, all of whom reside in Vidor. He was a proud grandfather to 10 grandchildren, who in turn gave him 24 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren. Each family member held a special place in his heart, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Norris's life was a testament to the values of hard work, dedication, and the importance of family.
