Orbie Wayne Woods Jr.

Orbie Wayne Woods Jr., 54, of Kirbyville, TX, passed away on Tuesday, December 19th, 2023, at his residence. Born in Uvalde, TX, Wayne spent much of his life in Vidor before making Kirbyville his home four years ago. In his professional life, he served as the Maintenance Supervisor of Rotating Equipment for Sasol, where his dedication and expertise made a lasting impact. Outside of work, Wayne was a man of many passions. He found joy in the kitchen, showcasing his love for cooking, and creating delicious meals for those he cared about. An avid outdoorsman, he relished the serenity of fishing and the camaraderie of golfing. Tragically, Wayne was preceded in death by his son, Ethan Woods, a loss that undoubtedly left a profound void in his heart and the hearts of those who knew him. Wayne is survived by his devoted wife of 28 years, Kimberly Woods of Kirbyville, TX. He leaves behind a legacy of love through his daughters, Catherine Ventris of Ripley, OK, Nicole Ramsey of Lubbock, TX, and Taylor Jimenez of Canton, TX. His memory is also cherished by his father Orbie Wayne Woods Sr. and sisters, Tracey Harrington of Vidor, TX, Terry Davis, and Carolyn "Pookie" Orvis of Rockdale, TX. Wayne's love extends to his three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his, mother Carolyn Woods, his brother William Orvis, and his sister Susie Sexton.
