Paul Brucia, Sr., 93, of Vidor died Sunday, March 19, 2006 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont, TX. A native of Orange he has been a longtime resident of Vidor and retired after 33 years as a railcar inspector with Santa Fe Railroad, and was owner-operator of Brucia’s Grocery Store for 24 years. He was a proud member of the Senior’s Club in Vidor, and one of the proud founding members of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor. A mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Wednesday, March 22, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2006, with a Christian Vigil to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Home Chapel. He was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years Elsie Brucia, his parents Baldazzerre and Francesca Brucia, brothers Will Brucia, and Joe Brucia, and sister Phefe Rao. He is survived by his sons, Vincent Brucia and wife Judy, and Paul Brucia, Jr and wife Shirley all of Vidor, daughter Irene Brucia Walden and husband Milton of Vidor, ten grandchildren, and eleven great grandchildren.
