Paulien Guillott, Jr., passed away on July 31, 2022 after a short battle with illness. Paulien was 86 and was surrounded in his home by loving family members when he passed. He had declared in the hospital that he wanted to, “go home so I can go HOME.”
Paulien was born to Polen and Lou Crissie Guillott on March 30, 1936 in DeQuincy, Louisiana. A member of the church from a very young age, Paulien participated in the church alongside family members his entire life, culminating in serving as a deacon at Calvary Baptist Church, Beaumont, Texas. Paulien also served as a Gideon, passing out testaments to the community. He served on multiple mission trips including travel to Russia and Mexico. Paulien was passionate about sharing the love of our Lord with others. A loyal servant to God, Paulien spent many of his hours dedicating his life to the Lord. Paulien retired after more than 30 years of service as an Operator from Kansas City Southern Railroad. He remained active in railroad groups and was passionate about maintaining railroad history. He and his wife JoAnn enjoyed 40 years of antique collecting and dealing shows around the country. Both he and JoAnn were recognized and well regarded in the Southeast Texas Antiquing Community. Now that Paulien has passed into the arms of our Lord, we should remind ourselves that while this is the end of Paulien’s physical life on Earth, it’s the beginning of an eternal and beautiful homegoing for him. Paulien joins his parents in Heaven, as well as 7 brothers and sisters, son Terry Lynn, and granddaughter Rachel Ann Clark. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, JoAnn Guillott, sister Pauline, as well as children Bruce Guillott and wife Shirley, Becki Griffin and husband Mark, Suzette Ratcliff and husband Kenny, as well as 11 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Job 19:23-25 Oh that my words were now written! oh that they were printed in a book! That they were graven with an iron pen and lead in the rock forever! For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth.
