Peggy was born to Etienne (Bud) and Audrey Stagg, on August 23, 1935, in Beaumont, TX. She graduated from Vidor High School in 1953.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents Etienne and Audrey, sister Juanita and brother Charles. She is survived by her husband of seventy years Walter and children Robert Smith and wife Jana, Karensue Cochran and husband Steve, Penny Royal and husband Robert. Twelve grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
Peggy loved times spent with family, both hers and the church. Her greatest joys in life were being a wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
