Randall Wirt Bloss, 79, of Vidor, passed away on August 4, 2024, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas. A longtime resident of Vidor, Randall served his country with honor during the Vietnam Conflict as a member of the US Army. His courage and commitment earned him four distinguished medals: the Army Commendation, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.
After his military service, Randall built a successful career at CB&I, where he worked for many years as an expert in his field. His work took him to South Africa and other countries, and he became a CB&I legend.
Randall had a zest for life that extended beyond his service and career. He loved traveling and found joy in spending time with friends and family. His shop was his sanctuary, a place where he enjoyed talking with friends and listening to country music often with his beloved dog, Mix, by his side.
Randall was married to the love of his life, Diane, for over 50 wonderful years before her passing in 2018.
He is survived by his children, Todd Bloss and his wife Heather of Vidor, TX, and Monica Murray and her husband Edward of The Woodlands, TX. He also leaves behind his beloved siblings, Maryann Mills and her husband Larry of Beaumont, TX, and Mike Bloss and his wife Barbara of Vidor, TX. Randall’s legacy continues through his four cherished grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
As we mourn Randall's passing, we find solace in our faith, trusting in God's plan during this difficult time. Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice in the knowledge that Randall is at peace and reunited with his beloved Diane.
