Raymond Allen Wood

Raymond Allen Wood, 73, of Vidor, passed away on Saturday, October 11th, 2025, at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont.

A longtime resident of Vidor, Raymond proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. Following his military service, he worked for many years in the construction industry before retiring.

In his later years, Raymond found peace and joy in life’s simple moments—sitting on the porch watching the world go by, talking with his grandchildren, and spending time with his beloved dog, Rascal. Those who knew him will remember his easygoing nature, quiet strength, and the comfort of his presence.

Raymond is survived by his son, Chris Wood, and daughter-in-law, Cindy Wood, both of Vidor, TX; siblings Michael Wood and wife Leslie of Silsbee, TX, Deborah Reho and husband Patrick of Buna, TX, and Daniel Wood and wife Cathy of Lumberton, TX; and three grandchildren, Charley Pevoto, Roger Pevoto, and Charles Moss, great grandchild Waylon Pevoto.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, De’Adrian Porter Wood, and two grandchildren, Rebecca Wood and John Wood.

Raymond’s life was one built on love, service, and simple joys—his memory will continue to bring comfort to those who loved him.
