Richard Kent Catching Jr.

Richard Kent Catching Jr., 77, of Vidor, died Thursday, February 24th, 2022 at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. He was a longtime resident of Vidor . He loved working with metal, woodworking, tinkering around the house and just being active, spending time with family, and his favorite pastime was square dancing and round dancing. Visitation for Richard will be Sunday, February 27th, 2022 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. His funeral service will be Monday, February 28th, 2022 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor at 2:00 PM with interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont. He is survived by his sons Richard Kent Catching III and his wife Donnetta Catching of Vidor, TX, Frank Burge and wife Tiffany of Spurger, TX, and Daniel Burge of Kirbyville, TX, daughters Carol Sprinkle and husband Timothy Sprinkle of Vidor, TX and Shamarie Burge of Beaumont, TX, sisters Christine Slocombe of Richmond, TX and June Kennon of Vidor, TX, 22 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard Kent Catching Sr. and Evelyn Catching.
