Robert Lee Owens, Jr.

Robert Owens, Jr., 79, of Vidor died Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, TX. A native of Wooster, AR., he has lived in Vidor since 1960, and was a vehicle maintenance analyst for 20 years with The United States Postal Service in Beaumont. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII, and was a pilot with the Civil Air Patrol . Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2007 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2007 at Memorial Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife of 53 years Hazel Owens of Vidor, daughters Donna Snider and husband Elson of Vidor, and Lauren Richardson and David LeBlanc of Groves, brothers Charles L. “Fuzzy” Owen and his wife Phyllis, and Gerald “Mack” Owens and his wife Loretta all of Bakersfield, CA., sisters Wanda Rayburn Gallet and her husband John of Orange, and Mabelle Kirkland of Wichita, KS., two grandchildren: Stephanie Parnell, and Robert Richardson, and one great grandchild: Hannah Parnell all of Vidor.
