Robin Victoria Mayo Jarrell
July 8, 1954 - July 31, 2025
Our mama, Robin Victoria Mayo Jarrell, passed away peacefully at the age of 71, and there are simply no words big enough to explain what she meant to us.
She was born in Pineville, Louisiana, but Vidor, Texas is where she built her life — raising three children, loving one husband for 48 years, and somehow managing to take care of all of us even when she needed care herself.
Robin was kind. She was funny. She didn't ask for much, but she gave everything — her time, her help, her love, her advice (even when you didn't ask for it). She loved God with her whole heart, and she loved her family even more — if that's possible.
She was the rock in our family. If someone needed her, she showed up. No questions asked. She took care of our dad every single day until the very end of his life. And even after her stroke — when she lost the use of her right side — she kept going. She didn't quit. She stayed sharp, stayed moving, stayed her.
Robin was a member of the Pentecostals of Pine Forest for over 20 years, and she loved her church family deeply. Her favorite past time was "running the road" with her best friend, Sister Elaine Brasher — a friendship that brought her so much laughter, joy, and trouble (the good kind).
She leaves behind her children:
Veronica Jarrell, Chad Jarrell and his wife Juanita, Jessica Garza and her husband Mark.
Her grandchildren, who she loved beyond measure:
Autumn Goss (Nick), Tyler Jarrell (Destiny), Cameron Fountain (Lexi), Nick Jarrell (Ashlynn), Gavin Jarrell (Clarissa), Ian Jarrell,
Brady Fountain, Mark Garza, Jr., Blake Garza, Izik Garza, and Isabella Garza and her great grandbabies:
Mason, Samuel, Cooper, Clay, and Ava.
She's reunited now with our dad, Lynn Jarrell, who's probably telling her she took too long getting there — and she's probably ignoring him and rearranging Heaven's furniture already.
We love her. We miss her. We'll never stop talking about her.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."
— 2 Timothy 4:7
