Ronald "Ronnie" Emmett Collins, 89, of Vidor, Texas, passed away at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast in Beaumont. A native of Beaumont and a longtime resident of Vidor, Ronnie leaves behind a legacy of hard work, dedication, and a zest for life. Ronnie dedicated 45 years of service as a Bleach Plant Operator at Temple Inland, where his commitment and diligence left an indelible mark on his colleagues. beyond his professional endeavors, Ronnie found joy in various pursuits. An avid puzzle worker, he relished the challenge of piecing together intricate designs. He also had a passion for collecting die-cast old cars, finding delight in the restoration of automotive relics. Outside of his hobbies, Ronnie cherished his annual fishing trips with his brother-in-law in Mexico, finding solace in the tranquility of the waters and the shared adventures. Camping under the vast sky brought him a profound sense of peace and a deep appreciation for nature's beauty. Ronnie is survived by his children: Cathy Gallop and husband Billy of Bon Wier, TX; David Collins, Rhonda Collins, Ronald Eugene Collins, and Sabrina Collins Norman, all of Vidor, TX. He is also survived by his sister, Patsy Porter of Beaumont, TX, as well as nine grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty Collins, and his son, Michael Collins.Ronnie will be remembered not only for his hard work and dedication but also for his love for his family and his enthusiasm for life. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, inspired by his unwavering spirit and passion for both work and play.
