Pearland

Rosalyn Elaine Gossage Randle, 93, of Pearland, Texas, passed peacefully on Friday, January 16, 2026.

Rosalyn was born in Kilgore, Texas, and spent many years as a longtime resident of Orange before moving to Pearland in 1982. She earned her license as an LVN and also her beautician license and later became the owner and operator of Hy/Class Child Care in Pearland, from which she retired after many years of service to children and families in her community.

She lived life with color, rhythm, and joy. In her younger years, Rosalyn proudly participated as a high school twirler with the Bengal Guard and played the snare drum at Stark High. She later embraced her love of fun and friendship at the Knapp senior center in Pearland, TX, for 18 years as a proud “Red Hat Lady,” she enjoyed clogging, and expressed her creativity by founding her own hat club, The Yellow Roses of Texas. Her vibrant spirit and creative heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

Rosalyn is survived by her children: Phyllis Jorgensen and husband Bradley of Canyon Lake, Texas; Leslie McKnight and husband Karl Vanderstucken of Orange; Greg Harmon and wife Luci of Campwood, Texas; and Shannon Ahearn of Pearland, Texas, whom Rosalyn resided with the last 25 years. She also leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy.

Rosalyn will be remembered for her warmth, independence, creativity, and the lively spirit she carried throughout her long and meaningful life.
