Rylan Cade Oney, 19, passed away Wednesday, December 20th, 2023, in Vidor, Texas. Born on July 14, 2004, in Longview, Texas, Rylan was a longtime resident of Hallsville, TX. He proudly served in the US Navy and was deeply passionate about his family and his interests.

Rylan found joy on the baseball field, where his love for the game shone brightly. His commitment to his country in the Navy was a testament to his sense of duty and honor. Rylan's impact on those around him went beyond his accomplishments, as he touched the lives of family and friends with his warmth, kindness, and infectious spirit.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Visitation will be held on December 26, 2023, at 10:00 AM at Turning Point Church in Vidor. The funeral service will commence at 11:30 AM, also at Turning Point Church, followed by interment at Restlawn Memorial Park.

Rylan is survived by his loving mother, Sheridy Benoit of Hallsville, TX, and his father, Kyle Oney of Hallsville, TX. He is also survived by his devoted sister, Tatum Oney, and brother, Dax Oney, both of Hallsville, TX. Rylan's memory is cherished by his grandparents, Joe and Jodie Benoit, Patricia Benoit, David and Tonya Oney, and Pam Rhodes, as well as great-grandmothers Delores Young, Johnnie Oney, and Charlotte Rhodes.

In addition to his immediate family, Rylan leaves behind aunts and uncles who loved him dearly: Shelley McFarland and her husband Irving, Natalie Bruce and her husband Matt, Madelyn Smith and her husband John Thomas, and Maknzy Billingslea and her husband Joe. He will be fondly remembered by his cousins Landry and Londyn Pickering, Kinnley, Kelsynn, and Kenasyn Bruce, Charlie and Jude Smith, and Anderson, Addilynn, and Annsley Billingslea.

Rylan is also survived by numerous great-aunts, uncles, and extended family, as well as a host of friends who were touched by his spirit. In this time of grief, let us remember and celebrate the vibrant life of Rylan Cade Oney, a son, brother, grandson, and friend whose memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
