Samuel L. Humberson, Sr, of Vidor died Tuesday, June 1, 2004 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. He was a lifelong resident of Vidor and a member of Maranatha Praise Center in Orange, TX. Samuel served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 4, 2004 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Doyle Cemetery in Starks, LA. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, June 3, 2004 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Samuel was preceded in death by his son Samuel L. Humberson, Jr. He is survived by his sons: Johnny Humberson of Vidor, TX., Gary “Bit” Humberson of Broken Arrow, OK., Marion “Bubba” Humberson, Michael Humberson, David Humberson, and Terry Humberson all of Vidor, TX., daughters: Shirley Brindley of Starks, LA., Brenda Myers of Orange, TX., Jo Ann “Susie” Sepulvado of Orange, TX., sisters: Wilma Cole, Jo Ann McIntyre both of Vidor, TX., 35 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren.
