Sandra Gail Dinsmore, best known as Sandy, passed away at the age of 71 on January 9, 2026, in Beaumont, Texas. She was born on November 24, 1954.
Sandy was widely known as one of the most generous and caring people. Those fortunate enough to know her understood that she would do anything for anyone, no matter the circumstances. She loved everyone in her life immensely, and they all loved her right back. She was proud to have started and run her own business for nearly 40 years. Sandy had many passions, but none bigger than cheering on the Texas Longhorns, loving on her poodles, and spending time with her family. She loved to garden, read, travel, and most of all shopping. She loved treating her grandkids to dinner and a movie on the weekends. She faced everything in life with a smile and a loving heart.
Sandy is survived by her son, Toby Strother and his wife Krystal; her grandchildren Cayden Strother, Hannah Thiros and her husband Nick, Ian and Evan Boudreaux; her fiancé, Rick Arena; her mother, Lois Thompson and her husband Tommy; her siblings, Doug Dean and his wife Becky, Danny Dean, and Laurie Smith; her stepson Eric Dinsmore, and numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Ed Dean, and her brothers, Randy Dean and David Dean.
Memorial services will take place on Monday, January 12th at 2:00pm at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Visitation with family and loved ones will begin at 12pm.
