Teddy Joe Springs Sr.

Teddy Joe Springs Sr., 75, of Orange Texas, has passed on to be with his Lord and Savior and his beloved son and family members, on Wednesday May 24th, 2023. He is known for his love of his wife and children with whom he was proud, his work ethic, his carpentry skills, his playful/picking nature, and his love for the Oklahoma Sooners (much to the dismay of his family.) He loved to fish and hunt, play cards with family and friends, vacation by car on never ending road trips, and eat chocolate bluebell icecream as often as he was allowed. He was married to the love of his life Joyce (Knight) Springs for 56 years, and they raised 5 children together over the course of that beautiful time. He was a carpenter for the better portion of his whole life, but his proudest work accomplishment was working for Colonial Pipeline for 34 years (He had the hats and pins to prove it.) The only debts he leaves to this world are quarters promised, as children, to his sisters for services rendered in back scratching (which he never planned on repaying anyway). He is preceded in death by his parents, Teddy and Evelyn Springs, Hazel and Glen Hurlburt, and his eldest son Teddy Springs (wife Michelle Springs). He is survived by his wife, Joyce (Knight) Springs. His sons and their spouses- Benjamin and Stephanie Springs, Christopher and Kelly Springs. His daughters- Tracie and Christopher Bethea, and Morgan Jackson. 1 brother Larry Springs, and 4 sisters, Patricia Cutler, Lisa Colbert, Charlene Leger, and Vickie Duke, and numerous families who love him and will miss him dearly. He was a very proud grandfather to 11 grandchildren and their spouses. He has also been blessed with 8 great-grandchildren (so far). His services will Take place at Memorial Funeral Home in Vidor, Texas. Viewing at 6 pm Friday May 26, 2023. Services at 10am. Saturday May 27, 2023 with the burial
