Thomas Frances Gandy

Thomas F. Gandy, 81, of Vidor died Sunday, February 13, 2005 at Dubuis Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Rockford, AL, he was a lifelong resident of Vidor. He was a retired Merchant Marine and served his country in the U.S. Navy during WW II. Thomas was a member of Pecan Acres Baptist Church and the Odd Fellows. Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 14, 2005 at Restlawn Memorial Park. Thomas was survived by his daughters: Lillian Huckaby and Dianne Prejean both of Vidor, TX, sisters: Shelvie Jean Beaton of Rockford, AL, Janie Ann Carter of Atlanta, GA, sister-in-law: Irene Gandy of Hueytown, AL, 5 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Rebecca Edna Trussell Gandy, brothers: Paul Gandy, Ralph Gandy, grandson: Ronnie Huckaby. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dubuis Hospital Staff and Dr. Aldrich for the great care given to are loved one.
