Walter Iverson Morse

February 28, 1922 — December 14, 2004

Walter Morse, 82, of Vidor died Monday, December 14, 2004 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. He was a native and lifelong resident of Vidor. Walter was a retired pipefitter with Mobil Oil and served his country in the U.S. Army during WW II. He was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church and a 50 year member of Pine Forest Masonic Lodge 1420. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 16, 2004 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Williamson Cemetery in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at Memorial Funeral Home. Walter is survived by his wife Joyce Morse of Vidor, TX, son: David Morse of Vidor, TX, daughters: Joan Morse of Vidor, TX, Lisa Rice of Newton, TX, Doris Stowell and Keren Stowell both of Jasper, TX, brother: Jesse Lee Morse of Vidor, TX, Sister: Dora Stanton of Vidor, TX, 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Memorials can be made to : American Cancer Society.
