Wiiliam 'Billy' Harl Perkins

Billy Perkins, 73, of Beaumont died Saturday, August 21, 2010 at his residence. A native of Crowley, LA, he was a longtime resident of Beaumont. Billy was a self-employed promoter and he founded the Golden Triangle Home Show in 1980. He was a avid fisherman and was the past president of the Beaumont Bass Anglers and was a member of the Texas Bass Federation for 11 years. Billy was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Beaumont were he was a 4th degree Knights of Columbus. He served his country in the U.S. Army During the Korean War. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Vidor, with burial to follow at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 11:00 a.m. and a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Billy was prceded in death by his sister Betty Kitt. He is survived by his daughters Colleen Shelton of Lafayette, LA, Liz Smith and her husband Randy of Vidor, TX, brother Kenneth Perkins of Orange, TX, grandchildren Nicholas and Nicole Shelton both of Lafayette, LA, Sophia, Sebastian, Amanda, Adam, and Alexis Leith all of Vidor, TX, and 8 great-grandchildren.

11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Memorial Funeral Home 1750 Hwy 12, Vidor, Texas

10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 26, 2010 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Chuch 1600 N. Main St. Vidor, Texas
