William Dennis Foster Jr.

William Dennis Foster Jr., 73, of Vidor, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, May 12, 2025. A longtime resident of Vidor, Dennis proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam conflict.

Dennis loved the outdoors—whether boating, fishing, or simply spending time on the river, that’s where he found his greatest peace. A simple man with a happy spirit, he could often be found enjoying his favorite Diet Dr. Pepper while catching up on QVC shopping. He lived life with a quiet joy and a laid-back demeanor that brought comfort to those around him.

Family meant everything to Dennis. His sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Reggie Stevenson, were constants in his life, offering love and support throughout the years. He is survived by his sister, Dianne Stevenson of Vidor, TX; and Missy Sherman and husband Tim of Vidor, TX; along with numerous nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, William and Ruby Foster; sister, Jenny Revia; brother, Randy Foster; niece, Delinah Kay Stevenson; and brother-in-law, Reggie Stevenson.

He will be remembered for his kind heart, simple pleasures, and the love he shared so freely with those around him.
